Dynaco, was good at one time but corporate greed has taken over, look at the Cambridge CD-740B rip off runaround they gave me

BUYER BEWARE OF DYNACO.COM!!

Beware of the Dynaco RIP OFF, if they are not fully forthcoming and honest before sending them your money, imagine what it will be like after they have your money...

Policies http://www.dynaco.com/policies.html

Money Back Policy

Actually this is a
NO Money Back Policy IMO  Read it carefully.  If you get the item in the mail, merely take a look at it and carefully send it back to them postage prepaid, they will not refund one dime to you!   See highlighted portions below:

In case you wish to return a product purchased on our site for a full refund, send it back within 5 days of your receipt of the product. The product must be returned in its original packing, gift box with all components, accessories and owners manual included. Any damage or abuse to the product or missing components and accessories will subject you to repair and refurbish charges to restore the product to its original condition by Dynaco. For any returns requested after the 5 day period, customer is subject to a 15% re-stocking fee.

The 5 Day money back guarantee only applys to boxes unopened and products unused. Dynaco does not accept returns of products once they are used or the box opened.

Dynaco reserves the right to determine which products are
eligable for return and refund and in no way is obligated to accept a return within the first five days or after that period.

So if the brown cardboard box is undamaged but for some reason you decide not to open it you may return the unopened undamaged cardboard box back to Dynaco for a refund and if they determine that it is eligible for return and refund, then you'll get your money back.  Whoopie!

Duh, it's:
applies not applys
eligible not eligable

oh, but then an 8th grade spelling ability is not what matters here, all that really matters is full honesty customer is always right attitude in business sales

Our Best Price Guarantee

Actually this is another come-on IMO  Read it carefully.  They will try their best to beat or match prices.  Try?  What does that mean?  Either you honor legitimate, honest advertised prices or you do not do so.

If you can find a better price on any of the products we have listed on our site please email us at info@dynaco.com and we will try our best to beat or match it.

Here's the story:

I saw this advertised price

Cambridge CD-740B
Clock Radio CD Player

Price: $249.00

found at their own website!  Right on their own home page no less! http://www.dynaco.com/

I wrote to them and asked them to sell me the Cambridge CD-740B for the advertised $249.00

no response was sent to me.  But after getting my request, they changed their advertisement to read:

Here's the bullsh*t run-around they gave me:

Hi xxx, Yes indeed, I saw that after I pointed out the price to Dynaco (as shown below in my email dated 12/12/05) that Dynaco took my information and raised the price on the home page.  You're Welcome.

The question I had was that I haven't heard back from you on honoring the price as shown below in my previous email.

The price was raised for this item, the fact that on the home page advertisment it was overlooked is a mistake however $259 is still the lowest price on the net for this item and we are not able to offer anything lower at this time.

All the best to you,
Dynaco Sales
